Observations on the use of HV sets
• HV bolt assemblies should only contain bolts, nuts and washers from one manufacturer.
• Protect all products against dirt during storage and delivery.
• HV washers should be installed with the chamfered edge facing outwards from the structure.
• HV nuts should be with labelling facing outwards for any post-installation inspection.
• The assembly must always be tightened by rotating the nut.
• Do not lubricate the bolt or nut before tightening! Values indicated by the manufacturer only apply to products in
as-delivered state.
• Tightening inspections are subject to the requirements of EN ISO 1090-2.
• If a preloaded assembly is opened at a later stage, it must be replaced with a new assembly. Re-preloading of the
same set is not allowed.
